Important tips. How to protect your funds!

You should remember that Wigwam is a non-custodial crypto wallet and it means that only you have access to your funds by using your seed phrase/private key. However, the Internet environment is full of impostors. To protect your funds from them, read these tips:

1. Keep Your Secrets Safe: Never share your secret recovery phrase or private keys. These are key to your Wigwam wallet's security. Never send it via private chats or store on the computer without encryption.

2. Beware of Fake Reps: Be careful around anyone saying they're from Wigwam. Always make sure they're really who they say they are. Even in our official channels, scammers may use admin avatars and almost the same social handlers to mislead the user.

Double-check all information and NEVER share your seed phrase or private keys or connect to any application (for verification, synchronization, tech check, etc.) if it was requested by someone who represents himself as support.

3.Be Cautious with Messages: Ignore unexpected help offers in your DMs. These could be scams. Remember, our team won't message you first, and we don't have accounts like "Tech Help",  "Wigwam Admin", “Wigwam support”, etc.

4. Only Use Safe Websites: Never type your secret phrase or private keys on any website, even if it looks like Wigwam's. We won't ask for these online. Use any Web3 antivirus to protect yourself from phishing/scam websites. Always check the address of the website that you are using.

5. Watch Out for Verification Scams: If someone asks to verify your Wigwam wallet, especially through email or messages, they're not from Wigwam.

6. Don't Use External Keys: Don't add private keys or seed phrases from outside sources to your Wigwam wallet. It's risky!

7. Know How We Offer Help: Our support team won't reach out to you directly. If you need help, use our official support channels.

8. Avoid Unofficial Groups: Stay away from non-official support groups on WhatsApp, WeChat, Telegram, Discord, or Twitter. Scammers hang out there.

9. Report Anything Fishy: If you see something suspicious, let us know. It helps keep everyone using Wigwam safe.

10. Use Only Our Official Site: Always make sure you're on the real Wigwam website (wigwam.app) to avoid fake ones.

11. Get Help from Us: If you need assistance, visit our official support site at wigwam.app.

12. No Secret Promotions: We don't do hidden NFT drops or secret token giveaways. Check our blog or Twitter for all official marketing activities.

13. Be aware: Don’t trust fake emails or Twitter posts from non-official accounts. If you have any doubts about the watched information, ask us in our telegram or Discord channels.

Remember, your awareness and careful actions are the best defense against potential scams and unauthorized access to your wallet. Always stay updated with our latest security advisories and tips by checking our official blog and following us on Twitter
