Wigwam Extension supports all EVM-compatible blockchains from the box. From the start, you have access to more than 200+ different blockchains, some of which are:

Ethereum

Ethereum is a decentralized blockchain platform that pioneered smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps). It enables developers to build and deploy a wide range of applications, from DeFi to NFTs, on its robust and secure network. With the transition to Ethereum 2.0 and the implementation of proof-of-stake, it aims to improve scalability and energy efficiency.

Blast

Blast is a high-performance blockchain platform for fast, secure, and scalable transactions. It leverages advanced cryptographic techniques and an efficient consensus mechanism to ensure low latency and high throughput. Blast is also focused on energy efficiency, making it a sustainable choice for real-time applications.

Optimism

Optimism is an Ethereum layer 2 scaling solution that uses optimistic rollups to improve transaction speed and reduce costs. Processing transactions off-chain and recording summaries only on the Ethereum mainnet significantly enhances throughput. Optimism maintains strong security by leveraging Ethereum's base layer for finality and fraud proofs.

Arbitrum

Arbitrum is another Ethereum layer 2 scaling solution utilizing optimistic rollups to enhance transaction speed and lower fees. It offers compatibility with Ethereum's existing smart contracts, enabling easy migration for developers. Arbitrum focuses on providing a secure and scalable environment while maintaining low transaction costs.

Avalanche

Avalanche is a highly scalable blockchain platform known for its consensus protocol, which allows for high throughput and low latency. It supports the deployment of customized blockchains and interoperable decentralized applications. Avalanche aims to be an eco-friendly solutionproviding high performance without compromising security or decentralization.

Polygon

Polygon, formerly known as Matic Network, is a framework for building and connecting Ethereum-compatible blockchain networks. It aims to address Ethereum's scalability issues by offering various layer 2 solutions, including sidechains and Plasma chains. Polygon provides a flexible and efficient platform for decentralized applications with lower transaction fees and faster confirmations.

Linea

Linea is a scalable blockchain platform designed to enhance transaction speeds and reduce costs through innovative technology. It leverages advanced consensus mechanisms and modular architecture to support a wide range of applications and smart contracts. Linea aims to provide a secure, efficient, and developer-friendly environment, focusing on interoperability and ease of integration with existing blockchain networks.
